Safety Measures

Effective October 27, 2021, a negative COVID-19 PCR test OR proof of full vaccination status is required for adult audience members attending “Webb Center Presents” programs at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts. Masks are highly recommended for adults and are required for youth 12 and under.

The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however the Webb Center cannot guarantee that you and your party will not be exposed if you choose to enter the facility. Carefully following the CDC guidelines does not fully mitigate the risk for visitors to the Center. The Webb Center assumes no liability for this potential exposure.

Please be aware for the 2021-2022 Season
The Webb Center’s policies and protocols for responding to the COVID-19 virus are rooted in safety for our staff, volunteers, artists and the public with whom we interact.

The primary goals for our response to the virus is to protect public health and continue the Webb Center’s vital missions of arts presentations, event production and community engagement.

Our plans will follow recommendations from the federal government, Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Arizona Department of Health.

All staff, patrons, vendors, members of the public and volunteers are expected to fully comply with these policies, protocols and guidelines.

Our knowledge and understanding of the COVID-19 virus will continue to evolve. As a result, our policies and plans will be appropriately updated as more information becomes available

Protocols for Entry into the Webb Center theatre during the 2021-2022 Season (Revised 10.27.21)

Thank you for helping us keep artists, volunteers, staff and most importantly, patrons like you, healthy and safe.

  1. Just making sure: Show us a negative COVID PCR test taken within 72 hours of the show and a photo ID.
  2. Even better: Present proof of your full vaccination status at the door and a photo ID. (Instead of a negative COVID test).
  3. Easiest: Download a “Vaccination Passport” app to your smart phone (e.g. CLEAR, VaxYes) which will safely store your vaccination and photo ID information.
  4. Show us your smize (“smile with your eyes”): Masks are highly recommended to prevent transmission.
  5. Tell Your Friends: Make sure that other ticket holders in your party know about these policies before your arrival at the venue.
  6. Sorry folks, no exceptions…But now we can all safely enjoy live shows together again!
FAQs (Revised 10.27.21)

What happens if a patron comes to the theatre but does not have proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test?
Patrons who are not able to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test at the door will not be permitted to enter the Webb Center theatre. They may proceed to the exterior will-call window to exchange their tickets for a future performance when they are able to show proof of vaccination or a negative test result, put their ticket credit on account for use at a later event, or receive a refund for the event.

Do these policies apply to youths under 12 years of age?
Since youths 12 and under are not able to be vaccinated and HIPPA laws preclude us from requesting negative COVID-19 test results from them; we will be applying pre-test-result and pre-vaccination protocols. These include masking and physically distancing themselves from others when possible. Those 12 and under will be asked to wear a mask or face shield while on premises and throughout the performance, unless actively eating or drinking.

Do these policies apply to youths over 12 years of age?
All attendees who are 12 and older will be required to show a negative COVID-19 test result or vaccination card in lieu of the test.
  • Volunteers will be stationed outside of the venue to verify proof of negative COVID tests and full vaccination status of all guests prior to entry. Please have your required documents ready for presentation to expedite the process.
  • Will-call tickets are available for pick-up at the external window to the right of the Atrium entrance.
  • Ushers will scan tickets to offer a touchless entry for patrons into the venue.
  • Digital programs will be distributed in the “Before You Arrive” email to ticket holders. Paper programs will distributed onsite by gloved volunteers.
  • Water bottle refilling stations have been installed by the men’s and women’s restrooms. Beverages may also be purchased from the concession stand.
  • The Webb Center will be cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas and bathrooms frequently. The venue will be disinfected prior to and after all performances.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at entrance points and other common areas. Please consider bringing your own hand sanitizer and wipes for your own safety.
  • If you or someone in your party is experiencing COVID-19 CDC-defined symptoms, you may not enter. If you believe you may have been exposed to the coronavirus we ask that you do not visit at this time. You may contact the Box Office at 928-684-6624, Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm to exchange your tickets for another performance this season or to receive a refund.
  • For more information on the Webb Center’s refund and exchange policy click here.
  • The Webb Center reserves the right to deny access to any non-compliant guest.

Please note: These policies are subject to change without notice as the situation demands. The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts is committed to providing a safe environment and asks for your help in making this a great experience for everyone.
