Arts for Kids Programs

The Webb Center’s Arts for Kids programs focus on the interaction between students and artists. The programs are intended to complement and enhance the local schools’ arts and cultural curriculum and are designed to inspire creativity, foster communication and tolerance, promote cultural exchange, create a sense of community and enrich the overall educational experience.

Utilizing a series of partnerships with community organizations and educators, the Arts for Kids programs provide life-enhancing experiences through the performing arts for students in the Wickenburg area. Professional musicians, dancers and actors introduce students to the creativity, beauty and diversity of the arts through free live performances, in-classroom workshops, and lecture/demonstrations. Our summer arts camp, Camp Imagination, and the Theater Ninjas after-school club both fall under the Arts for Kids umbrella of programs.

“My first experience with the Webb Center was through a free concert of American folk songs that captured my imagination and kept me wanting to come back. I have been a part of Camp Imagination every summer as both a camper and a teacher. I recently graduated from The Master’s University with a music education degree. I would not be where I am today without the nurturing service of the Webb Center.”

Who We Serve

The Webb Center is dedicated to serving the 3,100 students who attend the eleven public, private and home school co-ops in the Wickenburg area; approximately 72% of whom are at or below the federal poverty level. Arts for Kids programs, including Theater Ninjas and Camp Imagination, are accessible to everyone including “English as a Second Language” students and those with learning or physical disabilities.

The Webb Center’s educational programs foster positive self-image and self-confidence; helping students achieve greater success in school and life.

As a result of the theatre’s efforts, students are graduating and pursuing successful careers in the arts field as educators, technicians, and administrators.
