With 26 performances in a variety of genres, the Webb Center is looking forward to welcoming back their outstanding volunteers and hoping to attract some new enthusiastic helpers for the 2013-2014 Season.
The front of house crew is vital in greeting guests, collecting tickets, distributing programs, selling merchandise and seating patrons. This year volunteers will play a new role instituting the Webb Centers emergency action plan; other requirements include being able to commit in advance, standing for long periods of time, and walking up and down stairs. Volunteers are needed for not only the Webb Center Presents series, but also for school events such as the fall play, spring musical and choir/band concerts.
“Without the help of our wonderful volunteer crew, we simply could not open our doors for an audience.” stated Cathy Weiss, Executive Director of the Webb Center. “There are so many ways to help and our entire staff is grateful for the time our volunteers donate.”
All new and returning volunteers need to attend a mandatory orientation meeting and emergency training session in the Webb Center theater. The orientation meeting on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 6:00 pm will be a welcome back party and introduction to the upcoming season. The training session on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm will go over emergency procedures and protocol. To register please contact Blaise Wingert, Volunteer Coordinator at 928-684-6624.
Volunteers can sign up to work all the shows or selected performances; the Webb Center does ask that you sign up for a minimum of three shows. Anyone interested in more information on becoming a volunteer should contact the Webb Center Box Office or visit the Volunteer page here.
