Webb Center employee elected to statewide board

WICKENBURG, AZ – Members of the Arizona Presenters Alliance nominated and elected Shelby Fuller to its Board of Directors last week during their annual retreat in Prescott. Fuller, Event Coordinator at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, will serve a two-year term as a Director of the statewide organization of theater operators.

“It’s such an honor to be recognized by the APA,” stated Fuller. “I will be serving on the board and sharing ideas with colleagues from venues around Arizona, including the Mesa Art Center and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. This is a wonderful learning opportunity for me and a great way to keep the Webb Center connected with what’s going on in the rest of the state.”

The APA, founded in 1985, serves as a support tool for performing arts presenters. The organization provides seminars with arts leaders, encourages networking throughout the field, promotes collaboration among venues across the state, and engages in advocacy for the presentation of the arts in Arizona.

Fuller attended the 16th Annual Retreat with Stephanie Fornoff, Box Office Manager at the Webb Center. The theme of the retreat was “The Arts Go Electronic” and focused on innovative thinking and technology for the arts. APA members attended speaker panels on professional development topics, technology sessions on social media and cloud computing, and networking events.

Tickets to the Webb Center’s 2012-2013 season are currently available to members of the Encore Society and will be released for sale to the general public on September 12.
