Blue Collar Comedy Tour veteran Bill Engvall will be bringing his newest stand-up comedy show to the Webb Center stage on Sunday, November 19 at 7:30 pm. With more than 30 years as a comedian, Bill Engvall is known best for his hit sketch “Here’s Your Sign.” He is one of the top comedic voices in the country finding success in film, and television as well as on the live stage.
Bill started his stand-up career in Dallas, Texas playing open mics and working as a club DJ. Engvall got his first big break after he moved to California and paired up with fellow comedian Jeff Foxworthy, to produce the first of six Blue Collar Comedy Tour specials.
In the early 2000’s Engvall’s carreer skyrocketed as a result of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, in which he and three other comedians (Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White), specializing in common-man comedy, toured the country, and performed for record crowds. The tour lasted three full years, constantly being extended after an initial run of 20 shows.
This past February, Bill premiered his latest hour-long stand-up special, Just Sell Him for Parts, available on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Prime.
On TV, Bill wowed audiences with his competitive run on season 17 of the hit show Dancing with the Stars, where he finished in fourth place with dance partner Emma Slater. In the past, he has guest starred on The Jeff Foxworthy Show, in addition to The Last Man Standing, opposite Tim Allen. Engvall also spent time hosting Game Show Network’s hit puzzle-show Lingo. Bill Engvall also starred in three seasons of his own primetime sitcom The Bill Engvall Show on TBS.
