Musical play “Always…Patsy Cline” comes to the Webb Center stage on Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 13 at 3:00 pm. The two-person show is based on the true story of Houston housewife Louise Seger, and her friendship with Cline.
In 1961 Cline traveled alone to Houston for a show and met ardent fan Seger at the Texas honky-tonk where she was playing. The two women struck up a friendship that lasted until Cline’s untimely death in a plane crash in 1963.
“Always Patsy Cline” is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer. Through letters and visits, the two stars share the homespun stories of laughter and heartache that brought together a housewife and a legendary country singer.
Complete with down-home country humor and true emotion, the show features almost 30 of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “Walking After Midnight.”
The play stars Cindy Williams (“Laverne & Shirley”) as Louise Seger and Jacqueline Petroccia as Patsy Cline. Tickets for this performance range from $40-$60 for adults and $5 for 18 and under. Seating is limited; for ticket availability, call the Webb Center Box Office at (928) 684-6624 or click here.
