Ringing in the new year will be 1950’s teen idol Frankie Avalon, the sultry live music and dancing of The Tango Fire Company of Buenos Aires, the dancer-illusionists of MOMIX will showcase their reimagined Opus Cactus, and innovative chamber ensemble SHUFFLE Concert returns for a two week residency and performance.
February welcomes Julliard trained siblings The 5 Browns, in addition to the small orchestra Pink Martini featuring vocalist China Forbes. Kicking off Wickenburg’s Gold Rush Days celebration will be the hilarious 3 Redneck Tenors. Next will be National Geographic Live Stranger in a Strange Land with speaker Jodi Cobb. Continuing in February will be roots jazz and country swing from the Bumper Jacksons band, and The TEN Tenors from Australia with their newest show Wish You Were Here.
Also in February is the Webb Center’s fifth annual Find Your Center Gala on February 17, featuring pianists Alpin Hong and Michael Kaeshammer. This premiere event promises over 100 silent auction items, delicious hors d’oeuvres and a spectacular concert with proceeds benefiting the organization’s many programs.
Completing the season in March will be an exhilarating evening of Taiko drumming with Yamato, hits by electrifying country showman Neal McCoy, the sophisticated sounds of yesteryear with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, a celebration of Beatles’ hits with Classic Albums Live Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, 50’s rock n’ roll with Human Nature, the fiery strings of the Annie Moses Band and the acclaimed Zürich Chamber Orchestra.
